JoyfulMinds Daycare Service is a home childcare agency based at 78 Braebrook Drive, Whitby, Ontario. We help families in Whitby and Durham Region find local home childcare, and we support caregivers who want to open a home daycare.

We only collect what you choose to send us through this website:

• Childcare requests: your name, email, phone number, your city or postal code, your child's age group, preferred start date, schedule needs, and any notes you add.
• Provider applications: your name, email, phone number, city and postal code, childcare experience, qualifications, availability, home daycare status, preferred start date, and any notes you add.
• Messages: anything you send us by email or tell us by phone.

We do not ask for a child's full name, health information, or any other sensitive detail through this website. Please keep those for a direct conversation with us.

We use your information for one purpose: to respond to you and to arrange childcare or a provider placement. For families, that means reviewing your needs and introducing you to suitable providers near you. For caregivers, that means reviewing your application and guiding you through the requirements.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

When you send a childcare request, we share the relevant details with home childcare providers in our network who may be able to offer you a space, so they can respond. We may also share information where the law requires it — for example, with the Ministry of Education or Durham Region Children's Services in connection with licensing, funding, or a child protection obligation.

Form submissions are stored on our website's secure hosted database. Our service providers may process data outside Ontario and are bound by their own confidentiality obligations.

Both of our online forms ask you to confirm that you have read this policy and agree to us using your details to respond to you. You can withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us — though if you do, we may no longer be able to help with your placement or application.

We keep inquiries and applications only as long as we need them: while we are helping you, and afterwards for as long as our licensing and record-keeping obligations under Ontario's Child Care and Early Years Act require. When that period ends, we delete the record.

Under Canada's federal privacy law (PIPEDA) and Ontario privacy rules, you can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete it. Email or call us and we will respond within 30 days.

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our host may keep standard, short-lived security and performance logs, which are not used to identify you.
